EGO Energy signs a tolling agreement with Aer Soléir for a 250 MW batterying agreement with Aer Soléir for 250 MW battery

EGO Energy, an Italian company owned by the Shell Group and active in energy management and trading, has signed a seven-year fixed price tolling agreement with Aer Soléir for the exclusive management and dispatching of a 250 MW, four-hour duration, battery energy storage system, located in Rondissone, Piedmont.

The facility is currently under construction, with completion and COD expected by October 2027. Once operational, the battery will be among the largest battery energy storage systems in operation in Italy.

Through this partnership, EGO Energy, together with Shell Energy Europe, further strengthens its portfolio of flexible energy solutions, contributing to the development of a more efficient and resilient energy system in Italy.
